Welcome to Wildlife Gardening Adventures
We are dedicated to the natural world and would like to help others enhance or create a garden that is wildlife friendly. Please take a look through our web site for information about us and the services we provide through consultation, site evaluations, landscape design, lectures, butterfly and native plant workshops.

Helping the Habitat
The number one reason for the decline in butterfly and bird populations here in the Mid-Atlantic is loss of habitat. You can help these beautiful winged creatures by enhancing or creating a wildlife friendly garden! Not only are birds and butterflies threatened but frogs, small mammals and pollinators are in the same boat! When you plan to do some "remodeling" of your landscape, please keep wildlife in mind.

Naturescaping
Food for Thought! As we approach naturescaping, we have to purge a lot of the landscaping notions with which we grew up and be open to new ones. Some of those new ones are: selecting the plant that goes with the place and not changing the place for the plant; recognizing that we do not NEED all the lawn we have; and realizing that native plants take care of themselves because they evolved to grow in the place you want to plant them. Thus, we can let go of some of the old notions and rely more on common sense.
